The Dean is the head of the Faculty and is its academic authority. He acts and decides on all matters concerning the faculty except those which the Higher Education Act places under the competence of other bodies of the university or faculties.

Academic Senate
The Academic Senate is composed of 9 members – 6 academic staff and 3 students. Its powers, composition, method of formation and rules of procedure are determined by law, the election regulations and the Rules of Procedure of the Academic Senate.

Dean’s Collegium
Dean’s Collegium acts and decides on the affairs of the faculty. The method of appointment and the term of office are laid down by law and the election regulations for the election of candidates for the position of Dean, which form part of the Election Regulations and Rules of Procedure of the Academic Senate. Vice-deans appointed by the Dean are the Dean’s representatives for a defined area of the faculty’s activities. Their responsibilities in terms of time and subject matter are determined by the Dean.

Scientific Council
The Scientific Council includes prominent representatives of the fields in which the Faculty carries out educational and scientific, research, development and other creative activities. Its powers, composition, method of formation and rules of procedure are laid down by law and the Rules of Procedure of the Scientific Council.

Disciplinary Commission
The Disciplinary Commission deals with delicts committed by students enrolled at the faculty, or proposes solutions to these delicts, which the Commission submits to the Dean of the Faculty
